ZK Celltest is pleased to announce the release of the latest firmware version, v9.9C. ZK customers can download this new firmware at: http://www.zk.com/support/release_info_new.html. ZK Celltest has a policy of offering updates to all users free for the life of the product. In addition to the firmware posted on the website, ZK has also updated the list of supported phones with detailed release notes. The v9.9C updated firmware includes many newly supported devices, enhancements, and available features.

In August of 2009, ZK announced the release of firmware version v9.8 which addressed two new features:

1. Remote Data-link (Log File Upload)
2. Real-time Mapping Output (RTM)

The Remote Data-link (RDL) feature enables the user to send log files to a central server using one of the data devices connected to the ZK unit. This will allow ZK users to easily share log files with other departments while in the field and quickly identify potential network problems. ZK has posted a video at http://www.zk.com/flash/zk-rdl.html which illustrates the RDL function. ZK has also add the Real-time Output feature (RTM) which is compatible with the EZ-2-Map and will allow users to plot drive routes on a PC during drive tests.

The newly released v9.9C firmware incorporates increased capability to the ZK Remote Data-link feature. The Remote Data-link feature can now be configured to send the log files in one of 3 different modes: manual push, automatic push during regular intervals, or send only at power-down. With these feature enhancements, you can improve the consolidation and analysis of log files from multiple units deployed in your network. In support of the increased demand for the RDL feature, ZK Celltest now offers a secure FTP service “RDL Hosted FTP Server” for customers who wish to outsource their FTP server needs.

Additional highlights of the v9.9C firmware include major enhancements to the ZK Floor-plan feature. The ZK Floor-plan feature now supports JPEG in addition to all common Bitmap file formats. The ZK Floor-plan feature also supports the ability to switch between multiple floor-plan image files.
