SUNNYVALE, CA, MARCH 8, 2010 ZK Celltest, a world leader in wireless network drive-test solutions, announced today that it has successfully completed its first LTE cluster trial for a major US wireless carrier. ZK has demonstrated the comprehensive scanning functionality of its ZK-MPS (Multi Phone Scanner) solution. "The trial was a huge success for both ZK and ZK's customer deploying LTE." commented John Sleet, CEO of ZK Celltest. "This trial not only demonstrated the scanning capabilities of the ZK-MPS but we were also able to simultaneously scan CDMA, EvDO, and UMTS networks and then post-process all of the data utilizing Xceed WindCatcher." Versatile Equipment for 3G and 4G Deployments - ZK-MPS The ZK-MPS is a multi-technology, multi-band network monitoring system that provides scanning data for benchmarking, coverage and interference analysis, propagation predictions, and frequency planning. The system supports up to four mobile devices to simultaneously test multiple networks, frequency bands and technologies. The ZK-MPS display module is custom designed to be used safely in a vehicular environment. The unique display is transflective for viewing in direct sunlight, backlit for night viewing, and operates flawlessly in extreme temperature conditions. The buttons are also backlit and designed to provide tactile response to the operator. Data is logged to an industrial grade Compact Flash card, stored in standard ASCII text format for easy import into third-party applications including MapInfo and EZ2Map. The ZK-MPS can be configured to automatically send data directly to an FTP site.
