| V8.8V | Sep-27-2006 | TDMA Voice: Nokia 61xx/51xx, GSM Voice: Nokia 61xx/51xx &6340i, Nokia 6230
GSM Data: Nokia 6230, Nokia 6630, Nokia 6125 GSM Scanner: Motorola T725E Scanner CDMA Voice: LG VX5350, LG VX4400, LG VX8100, LG VX4650, Kyocera 22xx, 2035 & thin, Sanyo RL4920, Samsung A660, Samsung A670, Samsung A890, Samsung A920, Motorola V710, Motorola V265
CDMA Voice & data: LG VX5350 (CDMA2000), LG VX4400 (CDMA2000), LG LX350 (CDMA2000), Kyocera 22xx (CDMA2000), Kyocera KX5 (CDMA2000), LG VX8100 (EvDO), LG VX8300 (EvDO), Motorola RAZR (EvDO), Motorola E815 (EvDO), Samsung a950 (EvDO), Kyocers KX2/Koi (CDMA 2000) | * (CDMA) Adds SID (System ID) display on CDMA Summary screen. * (RCU) Log version 6.14 which adds support for Job ID in the @START line of log files. Job ID current only supported for RCUs. * (GSM/EDGE/UMTS) Adds full GSM/GRPS/EDGE support for the following 2 new Nokia phones: (1) Nokia 6630 (GSM/EDGE:900/1800/1900/EDGE & UMTS:2100) - UMTS mode is untested. (2) Nokia 6125 (GSM/EDGE Quad band) phone support.
* (UMTS) Phase 1 UMTS feature. UMTS log messages not finalized/official and highly subject to change. * (CDMA) Adds voice and 1X data testing support for LG LX350 phone support. (AMPS 850 / CDMA&1X 850 / CDMA&1X 1900) * (1x/EVDO) Adds feature to automatically configure Motorola E815 for data testing mode. This means it is no longer required to manually configure the phone for data testing mode via the phone's hidden menus. * (Data testing) Fixed problem that sometimes the first 1 or 2 data testing FTP/HTTP transfers in a SAM-ALL session would fail and/or a bogus IP address (usually 0.0.0.0) is reported. * (EVDO) Fixed problem that occasionally/briefly no Serving PN is reported. * (EVDO) Fixed problem that occasionally/briefly no Serving PN is reported. * (GPRS/EDGE) Fixed a problem where sometimes the GPRS/EDGE screen "peak CS" (coding scheme) display was inaccurate. Now the "peak CS" displayed will always be the coding scheme associated with the highest bit rate during the current transfer. * (GSM) Fixed freeze-up on SAM-ALL exit in the case of a USB port configured for GSM (Nokia 6230 phone) and the phone was disconnected or off. * (GSM) Nokia 6230 (and other Nokia USB phones) driver improvements that reduce occasional inconsistent or missing data reporting issues. For example, reduces the occurrences of blank HCC (Hopping Channel Count) being reported in a traffic mode PG messages. * (GSM) Add cellname to GSM Summary screen in the neighbor list table. * (EVDO) Fixed problem where bogus EVDO handoff was reported (HE log message) on a EVDO/1xRTT transition. The HE message generated had invalid data in many fields. Now HE messages are only generated on EVDO-to-EVDO handoffs. * (Data testing) Changes were made to reduce the occurrences of DTL messages with "unknown" protocol/band information -- although they still can occur. * (USB) Fixed a problem where in some rare cases when devices were connected to both USB ports, that one or both of the devices would not be detected by the software. The only known device combination to cause this problem was a HPN scanner and Motorola E815 -- but it may have occurred with other device combinations as well. * (RCU) Fixed a minor bug where empty log file(s) were created if NAM and/or PRL were reprogrammed on a phone * Fixed problem where bogus information was logged in the "Autodial information" fields of the OA message when voice auto-dial was not enabled. Now if voice autodial is not enabled the fields log as blank indicating they are not applicable. For example, this would effect OA messages generated during data testing which is mutually exclusive with voice-autodial. * Known issues: (EVDO) Sector Color Code and SectorID24 reporting is intermittent. Rare spurious "spikes" are seen in RSSI values reported by EVDO phones Click Here to Download Firmware Firmware Install Instructions Click Here to Download Manual

Now in the case of no modem link during these modes, a log file is always created and queued for later upload and WAKEUP mode will not drain the battery. * (CDMA) Added support for Samsung 890 CDMA voice phone, Samsung 950 EvDO phone, LG VX8300 EvDO phone and the Kyocera KX2/Koi EvDO phone. * Known Issues: (EVDO) Sector Color Code and SectorID24 reporting is intermittent.
